Peppers, Durango Hybrid
Early productive Guajillo type pepper. Guajillo types
can be harvested and eaten fresh in salsa or dried
and later ground into powder for making sauces,
spreads, or rubs. Durango is a new modern hybrid
with improved disease resistance, heavy yields and
earlier maturity. It produces 6.5-8 inch fruits mature
to bright red then dry to a deep burgundy-black
with excellent dry weight. Medium heat for this type
having a scoville rate of 2500-5000.
